A Drop Too Many

One of those books that has patiently waited on the TBR pile. 📚

Firstly I must say how I really like Frost. He clearly thought a lot of the officers & men under his charge. and even in the toughest of spots, for he had several, his dry sense of humour shines through.

As for the book. He covers the question of what went wrong at Arnhem in a facinating introduction.

The following chapters then cover various theatres and raids. I was especially interested in Tunisia having not read much about it before.

Arnhem is obviously synonymous with his name and you get a real feel for the difficulties he and his men faced. Frost again reminds the reader how different it all could have been.

So a book that i have really enjoyed. An author and soldier I have come to admire. I've learnt about some lesser known battles, as well as much more on his most famous one.

A book to certainly savour, and I do highly recommend it.
