If you have watched the BBC's SAS ROGUE HEROES, you are maybe wondering which parts of their recreation is true?
Well I recommend you buy this book to find out.
Damien is a master of true storytelling. His free-flowing writing will have you itching to squeeze in another chapter, as you meet the key characters and get a true picture of what they were really like.
How the men of the SAS were brought together, and how they linked up with the LRDG on those incredible early missions across the desert, will all be explained. As well as learning what kind of men David Stirling and Paddy Mayne were really like.
When we move to the battle scenes, they are always exciting and so descriptive, you can easily visualise it all as it is happening.
As you might of guessed. I have been a huge fan of Damien's for many years. His books, especially on the SAS in the Second World War, are all definitely worth seeking out.
Once again, he has written another thoroughly enjoyable account.
